Dr Barrie Goode

Director - Industrial Research and Development

With a Doctorate in Engineering, BEng Materials Science and Engineering and over 20 years of experience in the Steel and Metals industry, Barrie has held senior positions in a number of businesses within the technical and operation functions, including electrical steels.

He joined SaMI in 2019 and is responsible for developing and managing relationships with industry and setting the direction for the internal operations to meet customer research demands effectively. He also has an MBA from University of Warwick and is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining).
